Gourmet Liver and Onions

Gourmet? Not really!  I would make this maybe twice a year and Ev would complain, so it had dropped off our menu for the past few years. Imagine my surprise when she announced we were having liver & onions for dinner!

Liver is very high in nutritional value – but  high cholesterol as well – so once a year may be about right.  We roll back the health value by including bacon for flavor, and roll back the liver flavor by including diced apples and lots of onions.
